Feb 5th, 2010, "Go Red for Women Day" heart disease awareness

On Friday, February 5, 2010, the City of San José will participate in Go Red for Women Day, the American Heart Association’s national call to increase awareness about heart disease which is the leading cause of death in the United States and claims the lives of 450,000 American women each year. In honor of loved ones we have lost, individuals who suffer from heart disease, and those we want to protect from heart disease, please join us in wearing red this Friday, February 5^th. The City of San Jose' Rotunda will be lit up red on Friday evening in an effort to bring attention to the importance of taking charge of our own heart health. Together, we can ensure a longer, healthier life for our loved ones and ourselves.
