San Jose Fire Crew uses Defibrillator on High School Student




On Friday March 19th 2010. Engine company 24 responded to a local High School for a report of a person down. High school students quickly called 911 and within 5 1/2 minutes Engine 24 arrived on scene and immediately began CPR on a High School student that was unconscious in cardiac arrest. The fire department crew also used their defibrillator to successfully shock and cardiovert the patient . Doctors have moved the patient from the ICU to a transitional care unit where he is expected to make a full recovery.
