On Thursday, August 25th San Jose Fire hosted a press conference in order to thank local, state and federal officials who were instrumental in assisting San Jose Fire obatain the 15 million dollar SAFER Grant. This grant enabled us to hire back 49 Firefighter. Twenty-two of the 49 San Jose Firefigthters that wee laid-off last year completed their refresher academy and joined us back on the line Friday, August 26th.
