San Jose Fire Department Takes Delivery of
Three New Ferrara Fire Engines

The three Engines have been assigned to their apparent Stations, but will not go into service until Station personnel and those likely to operate the Ferrara Fire Engines have been properly trained. Below are the Stations that will be assigned the Ferrara Fire Engines.

Station-13, (Pearl Ave)

Station-16, (King Road)

New Station-33, (Communication Hill upon completion)


CA. Anthony Pianto, SJFD Fleet Manager expects these Engines will be going into service early next year.

900 feet of 3” hose split in two rear hose beds

300 feet of 2 ½” hose split in two rear hose beds

Three, transverse pre-connected hose lines

2 – 200’ 1 ¾” Preconnects

1 – 150’ 2 ½” Preconnect

Ladder Complement

1 – 28-foot extension ladder

1 – 14-foot roof ladder

1 – 10-foot collapsible ladder
